frustrated

I had a very frustrating photoshoot of Raemi today. I don't know what was wrong, but I could even feel while I was trying to get pics that none of them were turning out well. I couldn't get my lighting just right, it was either too dark or I was getting some blown out highlights. Plus I couldn't get Raemi to stay where I wanted her or look at me or anything (which is always the way it is with her and usually I'm able to just work with whatever she wants to do, but today I just wasn't able to make it work). I took 200 pics, and ended up liking 7. And even then I wasn't really in love with any of them. I'll share a few anyway...hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to get some much better ones and look back and say "oh, it was just one off day, no big deal."

I don't know what you are talking about. Those are awesome! If that is an off day, then I am really impressed!

You 2 are so sweet! It's a little homestead nearish us that does tours during the week like the pioneer village we used to go to when we were little (ooooh, I should take pics there sometime) but it's pretty deserted on the weekends. It's a pretty spot, and I do really like the last 2 pics I posted, but had hoped to get more good shots.

Thanks Helen, and I think your pics of Kasen are ADORABLE! I always love them!

I was frustrated because I went out to try to do as close as possible to a professional photo session and didn't get the results I was hoping for. I'd love to be able to take pics for people in the future, but as long as I'm still this inconsistent its not going to happen. I know I'm still learning, though, so I shouldn't stress about it.

I remember waiting in line for over an hour with you when you were little to get a professional pic of you....you were VERY unhappy to be there. They only took a few pics and none of them were any good. I am glad that you got some great photos of Raemi and she looks like she was being so happy for you.
